When you aren’t sure where to start and are seeking guidance to shift from feelings of stress, overwhelm, anxiety, depression, relationship issues or lack of control to living each day with more peace, perspective, freedom, self-awareness, certainty and understanding.

You're stressed out. Feel misunderstood. You're ready to figure out what's driving you to exhaustion and make some changes.

The counseling process is dynamic and during a session we might look at deeply held belief systems, unhealthy habits, explore family traumas, coping techniques, or dive into thought patterns that are creating blocks.

Therapy for New Mamas (and Mamas-to-be)

Being a mom feels harder than you expected. Even with all the preparation (you read every book you could find) you might feel overwhelmed. The days and nights can feel like an endless loop. Your thoughts might be scary. You feel sad, guilty, irritable or maybe something just feels off.

Beyond figuring out how to care for this tiny human you might be having trouble with eating or sleeping. Taking care of yourself seems impossible. You're not sure what is normal or if something is wrong. 

 

If you find yourself doubting your ability to be a mom or feel worried about bonding with your baby you might be experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety. 

1 in 7 moms experience a mood disorder during or after pregnancy. It isn't your fault. You can feel better with support.

 

Remember: You're not alone. We'll work together to get you feeling like yourself again. 

Mamas-to-be, you might be experiencing some anxiety now that you are pregnant. Get support navigating this transition into motherhood, including all the feelings that come along with it.

Balanced Living Consultations

Balanced Living Consultations are designed to help you better manage your health through various lifestyle tools such as adjustments to your daily routine, dietary modifications, herbal recommendations (I always recommend you check with your primary care provider before starting any herbal supports), contemplative practices and body therapies. 

Dietary and lifestyle recommendations are customized for you based on your unique elemental nature and imbalances you may be experiencing to support healing and prevent discomfort in the body, mind and spirit. 

After the initial consultation, in which we identify your unique constitution, imbalances you're experiencing, and potential places where you could shift out of balance, I recommend you return for a series of follow-up consultations. This allows you the time to integrate recommendations, identify nidana ("cause" or "motivation") and bring back observations so practices can be adjusted.

How is Balanced Living different from Therapy/Counseling? 

Balanced Living focuses on putting preventative self-care practices in place to support spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental well-being using an Ayurvedic lens. You don't have to wait until something is wrong to want to bring more wellness, practices can help you improve your digestion, sleep, decision making and more. Together we identify and design practices to clear out toxins and set up habits to better support you living in a balanced way, unique to you, so you can take control of your health and experience more clarity moving forward.

Insurance does not cover Balanced Living Consultations at this time. Payment Plans and Virtual Sessions available.
